Picea glauca 'Little Dipper' is commonly referred to as Little Dipper Alberta Spruce. This dwarf, slow-growing evergreen tree is noteworthy for its attractive open, multi-stemmed, pyramidal habit. It features coarse blue-green foliage on stout and sturdy branches, resembling a small Christmas tree. It can grow 2-4 inches per year with a maturity height of 6 feet with a 4 foot spread.

Little Dipper Alberta Spruce is hardy to zone 4 and thrives in full sun in average, evenly moist, well-drained soils. It is a tough evergreen, tolerant of both drought and wind.
